A cross of Lyc. Hanase and Lyc. Shoalhaven 'Kyoto', producing large, globose flowers with broad rounded sepals and softly incurved petals that enclose a prominent trilobed labelo with a bold raised callus at the center.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the broad pleated leaves.
  • Temperature: 50–72°F (10–22°C); an Intermediate to Cool grower that benefits from a distinct dry, cool rest period after flowering. Minimum 45°F (7°C).
  • Humidity: 60–80%; provide good air circulation to prevent fungal issues on the large leaves.
  • Watering: Water freely during active growth; reduce significantly during the dry rest period after leaves mature, resuming when new growth appears.

Additional Notes

Grow in a well-draining mix in a pot sized to the root system; avoid oversized containers. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
