Lepanthes tracheia

A floriferous miniature species native to Ecuador. It produces successive flowers on slender ramicauls, each displaying sharply triangular sepals, distinctly fringed petals, and a prominent bilobed labellum.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the delicate foliage.
• Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an Intermediate grower that benefits from good air circulation and stable temperatures.
• Humidity: 75–90%; maintain consistently high humidity — well suited for terrariums or humid intermediate setups.
• Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness, as Lepanthes roots are sensitive to dehydration.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss or bark mix. Its compact habit and prolific blooming make it an excellent terrarium subject. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
