Beschreibung

Beschreibung

A charming creeping miniature species from the cloud forests of Ecuador, notable for its densely pubescent, velvety leaves with an iridescent sheen. The flowers emerge from the leaf axil and feature a broad, undulate dorsal sepal with prominent longitudinal venation over well-spread lateral sepals, with curved petals and a small labellum at the center.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun to preserve the velvety leaf texture.
  • Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a cool grower with a minimum tolerance around 45°F (7°C).
  • Humidity: 80–90%; maintain consistently high humidity with good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Keep roots evenly moist at all times; water frequently and avoid any prolonged dry periods.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork bark or in a small pot with fine sphagnum moss to accommodate its creeping habit. Its velvety foliage and compact size make it an excellent choice for a well-ventilated terrarium. Ships bare root, well-established.
