Lepanthes hugomedinae

A striking miniature species native to Ecuador. It produces successive flowers on long, slender peduncles with broad, wing-like lateral sepals, an erect recurved dorsal sepal, and a complex labellum with contrasting petals at the center.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the delicate foliage.
• Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an Intermediate grower that benefits from good air circulation and stable temperatures.
• Humidity: 75–90%; maintain consistently high humidity for best growth and blooming.
• Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; Lepanthes roots are sensitive to prolonged dryness.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss or bark mix. Its compact habit makes it an excellent terrarium subject. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
