A remarkably ornamental fern species from the Andean cloud forests. It develops a dense, bushy habit with finely divided fronds branching dichotomously into thread-like segments, creating an exceptionally delicate, plumose texture unlike any typical fern.
-
Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the delicate fronds.
-
Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an Intermediate grower that thrives with stable temperatures and good air circulation.
-
Humidity: 75–90%; maintain consistently high humidity — ideal for terrariums or humid intermediate setups.
-
Watering: Keep the medium evenly moist at all times; avoid prolonged dryness, as the fine root system is sensitive to dehydration.
