One of the Dracula species we grow at Ecuagenera, Dracula dalstroemii xanthina does best under cool-growing conditions.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light, out of direct midday sun.
  • Temperature: Day temperatures of 15-24 °C (59-75 °F) with a gentle drop at night to 10-15 °C (50-59 °F) suit it best.
  • Humidity: High humidity (70-85%) with constant gentle air movement, much like its cloud-forest conditions, keeps the plant healthy and prevents fungal spots.
  • Watering: Water regularly during active growth, allowing the medium to begin drying between waterings. Reduce slightly during the cooler months.

Additional notes: 'xanthina' in the name denotes its yellow color form, a departure from the usual coloring of the species that collectors especially look for.
