Great orchid

Ecugenera shipped a mature well grown orchid. This size is not easily available for retail sale. All orchids from ecugenera Ecuador that I have purchased are above average in size and condition. Thank you ecugenera!

Cattleya Triumphans

Bought two Triumphans from the Vancouver Orchid Society Orchid show. They were very large and near blooming size and in excellent condition. If you have never seen a Triumphan look it up, it’s fantastic 😀

Hi Adrii

This is a hybrid between (Cattleya rex x C. aurea)

Introduced in 1904, the Cattleya Triumphans orchid emerged as a horticultural marvel, renowned for its contribution to orchid hybridization. Esteemed for its robust flower stems, the Triumphans boasts long-lasting blooms and a generous flower count, traits inherited from C. rex. Its distinctive full, round lip has become a signature characteristic. As a primary hybrid, it has served as a foundational element in the development of numerous celebrated and significant orchids. The hybridization with C. aurea enhances the flowers' vibrancy, imparting a richer yellow hue and more pronounced segments. This latest cultivation yields impressive specimens with a compact growth pattern, exhibiting resilience against rot. The Cattleya Triumphans continues to be a cornerstone in the evolution of exquisite orchid varieties.

Could you give some info about this plant?
Is it hybrid of iricolor x rex?
Or some other internal naming?
