Barbosella hirtzii Culture

Barbosella hirtzii is an orchid species of the genus Barbosella, grown at our nurseries in Ecuador. It grows best in intermediate conditions.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light, out of direct midday sun.
  • Temperature: Day temperatures of 20-28 °C (68-82 °F) with cooler nights of 15-20 °C (59-68 °F) suit it best.
  • Humidity: Moderate to high humidity (50-70%) with good air circulation helps keep the foliage healthy and prevents fungal problems.
  • Watering: Water regularly during active growth, allowing the medium to begin drying between waterings. Reduce slightly during the cooler months.

Additional notes: Grown from our own stock at Ecuagenera. Plants are shipped bare-root with a phytosanitary certificate.
