• Light: Bright, indirect light; good light levels are essential to bring out the full depth of the dark iridescent coloration — avoid direct sun which can scorch the leaves, and avoid very low light which diminishes the dramatic color

• Humidity: High humidity essential, ideally 65–85%; reflects its humid Bornean rainforest origins — a humidifier or enclosed growing cabinet gives the best results
• Substrate: Very well-draining, airy mix; a blend of coco coir, perlite, and orchid bark is ideal — excellent root aeration is critical for this species
