Coelogyne mooreana

Coelogyne mooreana is a Vietnamese highland species and one of the most admired white-flowered orchids in cultivation. Upright spikes rise from tidy, ribbed pseudobulbs in spring, each carrying several large, pure white flowers with a lip lit by a brilliant orange-yellow crest. The contrast is stunning at close range, the substance is heavy enough to last for weeks, and the plant builds into a generous clump that can flower on several growths at once.
