Tolumnia Jairak Flyer 'Cartoon'

A floriferous hybrid of Tolu. Jairak Rainbow × Tolu. Jairak Firm, producing branched inflorescences bearing flowers with a dominantly wide, rounded labellum with strongly crenate margins and a bold macular pattern, set against narrow, reflexed sepals and petals. The 'Cartoon' clone inherits the best traits of both parents — the prolific branching of Jairak Rainbow and the broad, ornate lip structure of Jairak Firm.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; consistent light levels promote compact growth and reliable spike production.
• Temperature: 60–82°F (16–28°C); thrives as a warm to intermediate grower with a slight nighttime temperature drop to stimulate flowering.
• Humidity: 50–70%; good air circulation is essential to prevent fungal issues on the compact, tightly spaced foliage.
• Watering: Water frequently during active growth, allowing roots to dry briefly between waterings; reduce slightly in cooler months without allowing the fine roots to desiccate completely.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork bark or in a small basket with minimal medium to ensure excellent drainage and air flow around the roots. Shipped bare root, well-established.
