Light: Sophronitis coccinea requires bright, indirect light to flourish and bloom well. It can tolerate, and often benefits from, some direct morning sun, but must be protected from intense midday or afternoon sun which can easily scorch its delicate foliage and pseudobulbs. 

Temperature: This species thrives in cool to intermediate temperatures. Aim for daytime temperatures between 18-26°C (65-79°F) and a significant drop at night, ideally down to 10-15°C (50-59°F). This cool night rest is often crucial for inducing abundant flowering. 

Humidity: High humidity is critical for Sophronitis coccinea, ideally between 60-80%. 

Watering: Keep the potting mix consistently moist during the active growing season (when new growths and roots are forming).
