Oncidium oliganthum

A compact epiphyte from the cloud forests of Central America, producing branched spikes with small to medium-sized flowers well spaced along slender branches. The ovate sepals and petals have a maculate texture with a slightly undulate margin, while the trilobed lip features a broad, wedge-shaped frontal lobe with a crenulate edge and a dark-spotted basal callus.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the compact pseudobulbs and foliage.
• Temperature: 54–72°F (12–22°C); an intermediate to cool grower that benefits from a nighttime temperature drop to encourage spike initiation.
• Humidity: 65–80%; consistent moisture supports healthy growth and reliable flowering.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; never allow roots to sit in standing water.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a fine to medium bark mix or mounted on cork with good drainage and airflow. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
