Beschreibung

A floriferous species from the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing branched inflorescences with several flowers open simultaneously. The undulate, lanceolate sepals and petals are well-spread, with a broad, bilobed, ruffled lip bearing scattered purple markings.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the broad foliage.
  • Temperature: 46–68°F (8–20°C); a cool grower that thrives with distinct day-to-night temperature differentials.
  • Humidity: 65–85%; good air circulation is essential to keep the foliage healthy at cooler temperatures.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; reduce frequency during cooler months.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a medium bark mix with excellent drainage. Ships bare root, well established, and ready to acclimate to your growing conditions.
