Beschreibung

A distinctive epiphyte native to Ecuador, immediately recognizable by its terete, curved leaves that arch gracefully in all directions. Small flowers emerge along the stems, each with spreading lanceolate sepals and petals contrasting sharply with a dark, trilobed lip — a unique and conversation-worthy addition to any collection.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; the terete foliage tolerates slightly more light than broad-leaved species.
  • Temperature: 58–78°F (14–26°C); an intermediate-warm grower that benefits from stable conditions and good air movement.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; consistent humidity supports healthy root and leaf development.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; the terete leaves store moisture, so avoid overwatering.

Additional Notes

Ships bare root and well-established — pot promptly upon arrival in fine bark mix and water generously to rehydrate the roots. Best grown mounted on cork bark to showcase its arching, sculptural foliage.
