Beschreibung

A reed-stem epiphyte endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing lax, airy, branched panicles of few, well-spaced flowers on long, curved pedicels with an upward-facing orientation. The blooms display very narrow, linear, strongly reflexed sepals and petals alongside a small, bilobed lip with a delicately and densely fringed margin that contrasts beautifully with the rest of the flower.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun to prevent stress on the foliage.
  • Temperature: 50–72°F (10–22°C); an intermediate-cool grower that benefits from cool nights and good air movement.
  • Humidity: 70–85%; good air circulation around the stems and roots helps prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to settle into their new growing environment.
