Beschreibung

A floriferous hybrid of C. rex × C. dowiana aurea, combining the bold, full-shaped flowers of rex with the rich golden lip and intense fragrance of dowiana aurea. It produces large, long-lasting blooms on a vigorous, well-branched plant.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–50% shade cloth; good light is key to reliable blooming.
  • Temperature: 59–82°F (15–28°C). Warm to intermediate grower; tolerates brief dips to 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: 50–70%; ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal issues on the large flowers.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly, then allow the mix to dry slightly between waterings; reduce in winter to encourage blooming.

Additional Notes

Best grown in medium-grade bark or a bark/perlite mix in a slatted basket or clay pot. Ships bare root, well-established (35–40cm). Grown at Ecuagenera, Ecuador.
