Successful cultivation of the beautiful Anguloa x acostae. Here are some important cultural tips to ensure its thriving growth:

  • Light: Bright, indirect light. Filtered sunlight is ideal, as direct sun can damage the leaves.
  • Temperature: Daytime temperatures between 18-24°C (65-75°F) and cooler nights around 10-15°C (50-59°F). This is a cool to intermediate growing orchid.
  • Humidity: High humidity levels at 50-70%. Using humidifiers or humidity trays is recommended.
  • Watering: Keep substrate consistently moist but well-draining. Water frequently but ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.

Additional Notes:

  • It is a natural hybrid, with its parents being Anguloa hohenlohii and Anguloa eburnea.   
  • As it is a hybrid, it can inherit characteristics from its parents, so the variability between individuals can be greater.
