Information

Masdevallia coccinea 'Gualaceo'

Masdevallia coccinea 'Gualaceo' Culture

One of the Masdevallia species we grow at Ecuagenera, Masdevallia coccinea 'Gualaceo' does best under cool-growing conditions.

  • Light: Low to moderate diffused light with good air movement.
  • Temperature: It prefers days of 15-24 °C (59-75 °F) and cooler nights around 10-15 °C (50-59 °F).
  • Humidity: High humidity (70-85%) with constant gentle air movement, much like its cloud-forest conditions, keeps the plant healthy and prevents fungal spots.
  • Watering: Keep evenly moist at all times; these plants have no pseudobulbs and resent drying out.
