Macleania salapa is an intermediate ericaceae species of the genus Macleania, grown and propagated at our nurseries in Ecuador.
-
Light: Bright to moderate indirect light.
-
Temperature: Day temperatures of 20-28 °C (68-82 °F) with a gentle drop at night to 15-20 °C (59-68 °F) suit it best.
-
Humidity: High, stable humidity (70-85%) keeps the foliage in top condition; a humidifier or grouping plants together helps in dry rooms.
-
Watering: Water when the top of the substrate starts to dry; keep it lightly moist and never waterlogged.
Additional notes: Like most Ericaceae, it can drop part of its foliage from the stress of shipping. Give it good ambient humidity and water 2-3 times a week for the first 15 days and it will push new growth and recover quickly.
