Macleania pentaptera Culture
Macleania pentaptera belongs to the genus Macleania and comes from our own propagation in Ecuador. It is an intermediate-to-warm ericaceae.
-
Light: Bright to moderate indirect light.
-
Temperature: It prefers days of 22-30 °C (72-86 °F) and cooler nights around 18-22 °C (64-72 °F).
-
Humidity: High, stable humidity (70-85%) keeps the foliage in top condition; a humidifier or grouping plants together helps in dry rooms.
-
Watering: Water when the top of the substrate starts to dry; keep it lightly moist and never waterlogged.
Additional notes: Like most Ericaceae, it can drop part of its foliage from the stress of shipping. Give it good ambient humidity and water 2-3 times a week for the first 15 days and it will push new growth and recover quickly.
