Philodendron Golden Dragon

A highly ornamental hybrid philodendron prized for its deeply lobed, dragon-like leaves with a striking golden-green variegation that intensifies under bright indirect light. • Light: Moderate to bright indirect light; stronger light enhances the golden variegation, but avoid direct sun which causes bleaching and leaf burn.
• Temperature: Warm grower. Daytime 68–85°F (20–29°C), nighttime 60–68°F (15–20°C); avoid cold drafts or temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
• Humidity: 60–80%; benefits from elevated humidity but adapts well to typical indoor conditions with good air circulation.
• Watering: Water thoroughly when the top 1–2 inches of substrate dry out; reduce in cooler months and ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot.

Additional Notes

A cultivated hybrid of horticultural origin; best grown in a well-draining aroid mix of bark, perlite, and coco coir. Provide a moss pole or trellis to encourage larger, more dramatically lobed mature leaves.
