Ceratostema pendens ist eine epiphytische Pflanze aus der Familie der Heidekrautgewächse. Sie ist in den Bergnebelwäldern Ecuadors heimisch.

Diese Art gedeiht in tropischen Umgebungen und wächst normalerweise auf Bäumen. Sie bevorzugt helles, indirektes Licht, hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit und einen mittleren Temperaturbereich. Aufgrund ihrer spezifischen Lebensraumanforderungen ist die Einhaltung dieser Bedingungen für ihren erfolgreichen Anbau von entscheidender Bedeutung

2 large, beautiful specimens

I ordered 2 ceratostema pendens at the beginning of January. Communication was great, plants were sent in a timely manner and they arrived in great shape. Both specimens are beautiful and much larger than expected. There was no leaf loss. I suspect this species handles cool weather shipping much better that warm/hot weather. Thank you so much!

Plant looks healthy and it a nice size

Plant looks healthy and it a nice size. (Paid extra to rush shipping). Not happy that there were hardly any roots though. For the cost I would have expected a larger root system.

Tough one...

One i got a while ago. Had two stems, one of them died off shortly. However the main stem survived and now growing and producing new leaves.
But with only having one that was so expencive I wanted to get the 2nd as an insurance plant. Got the 2nd during another pop-up, but 2 weeks passed since and... it clearly is not gonna survive despite me giving the same conditions to it i gave to the first one.. it's not clear how to propogate them, i have not received an answer to this question.. so plant is esentially dead.. no leaves and stems progressivly dying off. There is no hope . It's a gonner.
I'm quite sad and dissapointed..

Hopefully it holds up

A stunning Ceratostema, but if the six different ones I ordered, this one was the only one that was a little melted after shipping. It have it planted and hopefully it recovers and starts growing.
