Information

Description

Description

A warm-growing epiphyte native to Ecuador, producing solitary flowers of highly specialized form characteristic of the Trigonidium alliance. The large, ovate dorsal sepal is prominently veined, while the lateral sepals curl inward to form a tubular structure with two distinctive dark spots at the throat.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun exposure.
  • Temperature: 62–82°F (17–28°C); a warm grower that thrives with stable temperatures and good air circulation.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; consistent humidity supports healthy pseudobulb development and reliable blooming.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Ships bare root and well-established — pot promptly upon arrival in fine bark mix and water generously to rehydrate the roots. Best grown in a standard pot with good drainage.
