Description

Description

A graceful epiphyte from the Andean cloud forests, producing arching, pendant racemes densely set with small flowers, each bearing extraordinarily long, filiform sepal tails that cascade downward in unison. The overall effect is that of a living curtain of fine threads — an exceptionally ornamental display for a miniature orchid.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the foliage.
  • Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a Cool grower that thrives with stable cool conditions and good air movement. Minimum 45°F (7°C).
  • Humidity: 70–90%; mount or grow in a hanging basket to allow the arching inflorescences to cascade freely while maintaining high ambient moisture.
  • Watering: Water frequently to keep roots evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness between waterings.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork bark or in a small hanging basket with a fine, open mix, allowing the pendant racemes to display freely. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
