Description

Description

A captivating Oncidium hybrid from the cross between Onc. Catalina de Alvarado and Onc. Petit Port, combining the prolific branching habit of its parentage with richly spotted, leopard-patterned blooms carried on elegant, arching spikes. Variable flowering adds an element of surprise, with each plant expressing its own unique pattern intensity.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light under 40–50% shade cloth; consistent light levels support strong pseudobulb development and reliable spike production.
  • Temperature: Intermediate grower. Daytime 65–78°F (18–26°C), nighttime lows of 55–60°F (13–15°C); a clear day-night differential encourages blooming.
  • Humidity: Prefers 60–75% relative humidity; humidity trays or a humidifier combined with good air circulation keep foliage and roots in top condition.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness before the next watering; pseudobulbs should remain firm and plump at all times.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining medium bark mix; repot every 2 years or when the substrate begins to break down, ideally just after flowering when new root growth is active.
