Information

Description

Description

A robust species from the cloud forests of South America, producing solitary flowers on short scapes nestled among the foliage. The blooms are waxy and well-formed, with broad, rounded tepals and a compact, structured lip typical of the Maxillariella alliance.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun exposure, which can cause leaf burn.
  • Temperature: 54–75°F (12–24°C); an intermediate grower that benefits from a slight temperature drop at night.
  • Humidity: 65–80%; maintain good airflow to prevent fungal issues at the root zone.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to partially dry between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best cultivated in a well-draining bark or sphagnum mix. Shipped bare root in well-established condition, ready to adapt quickly to your growing environment.
