Information

Description

Description

A vigorous reed-stem epiphyte endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing spectacular, highly branched panicles densely covered with hundreds of small flowers in pendant secondary clusters. The blooms feature small, rounded sepals and petals alongside a neatly three-lobed, downward-curving lip, creating a breathtaking mass-flowering display above tall, leafy cane stems.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun to prevent stress on the tall stems and narrow foliage.
  • Temperature: 54–75°F (12–24°C); an intermediate grower that benefits from moderate temperature fluctuations between day and night.
  • Humidity: 65–85%; good air circulation around the stems and roots helps prevent fungal issues and supports vigorous growth.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix or in baskets to allow the branched panicles to develop freely. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to settle into their new growing environment.
