Description

Description

The alba form of Den. cuthbertsonii — the species renowned for the longest-lasting flowers in the orchid world — bearing pure white, waxy blooms with a vivid orange-gold callo as the sole accent. This compact miniature blooms so prolifically that the flowers completely obscure the foliage, creating a breathtaking display that persists for months.

  • Light: Bright indirect light; avoid direct sun. Consistent bright diffused light promotes the most prolific and continuous blooming.
  • Temperature: 50–72°F (10–22°C) — Intermediate to Cool grower. Requires consistently cool to mild temperatures year-round; does not tolerate heat. Ideal for cool windowsills, highland greenhouses, or climate-controlled grow setups.
  • Humidity: 70–90%; very high humidity is essential. Excellent air circulation must accompany high humidity to prevent rot.
  • Watering: Keep the substrate consistently moist — never allow to dry out completely. Use soft, low-mineral water and ensure perfect drainage at all times.

Additional Notes

Best grown in fine sphagnum moss in a small plastic pot or mounted on cork with a sphagnum pad. Ships in pot, well-established and actively blooming.
