Description

Description

A cross between Den. agathodaemonis and Den. cuthbertsonii, this exceptional alba form displays the same extraordinarily long-lasting flowers as its siblings, but in pristine white tones that make it especially rare and coveted among collectors. Its compact, floriferous habit ensures a continuous and elegant floral display.

  • Light: Moderate indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun to prevent overheating, especially given its cool-growing nature.
  • Temperature: Cool grower. Daytime 58–68°F (14–20°C), nighttime 48–55°F (9–13°C); consistent cool conditions are key to long-term health and continuous blooming.
  • Humidity: 70–85%; use a humidifier or terrarium with constant air movement to prevent rot at the roots and crown.
  • Watering: Keep the medium evenly moist; never allow roots to dry out completely, and ensure excellent drainage to avoid rot.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork bark or tree fern, or in very small pots with fine sphagnum moss; the influence of Den. cuthbertsonii makes it exceptionally long-blooming but demanding of cool, humid conditions.
