Information

Description

Description

A large, well-established mat of this prolific epiphyte from the cloud forests of Ecuador, forming dense, multi-stemmed clumps with erect, channeled, lanceolate leaves. Arching, wiry inflorescences emerge in abundance simultaneously, each bearing numerous small, triangular flowers with rounded sepals — produced in spectacular mass displays throughout the foliage.

  • Light: Moderate indirect light with 50–65% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the fine foliage.
  • Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an intermediate grower that adapts well to a range of cool-to-warm conditions.
  • Humidity: 65–85%; high humidity supports vigorous rhizomatous growth and prolific blooming.
  • Watering: Keep evenly moist at all times; the fine, shallow root system does not tolerate prolonged drying.

Additional Notes

Blooms repeatedly throughout the year with multiple simultaneous inflorescences. Best grown in a shallow basket or small pot with fine bark or sphagnum moss, or mounted on cork bark. An outstanding specimen for any miniature orchid collection. Ships bare-root in excellent condition.
