A striking species from the cloud forests of South America, producing long, arching inflorescences densely set with large, elegant flowers. The narrow, undulate sepals and petals are gracefully spreading, with a broad lip and a prominent yellow callus at the center.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the strap-like leaves.
• Temperature: 50–72°F (10–22°C); an intermediate to cool grower that benefits from distinct day-to-night temperature drops to initiate blooming.
• Humidity: 65–80%; good air circulation is essential to keep the foliage healthy at cooler temperatures.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; reduce frequency during cooler months.
