Information

Description

Description

A spectacular primary hybrid of Epi. jasminosmum × Epi. atacazoicum, inheriting the massive, densely branched panicles of both parents. The inflorescence is crowded with hundreds of small flowers bearing narrow, reflexed linear sepals and a trilobed lip with a bilobed central lobe and contrasting undulate margins — a breathtaking floral display on vigorous, multi-stemmed reed-stem canes.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the foliage.
  • Temperature: 54–72°F (12–22°C); an intermediate-cool grower that benefits from mild days and cool nights with good air movement.
  • Humidity: 75–90%; high humidity supports the vigorous growth and massive inflorescences this hybrid produces.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the substrate to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

A primary hybrid between two Ecuadorian cloud forest species, combining the floriferous habit of both parents. Best grown in a large pot with a well-draining bark-based mix and excellent air circulation. Ships bare root, well-established.
