Brassia aurantiaca

A species from the cloud forests of Central America, producing upright inflorescences with clusters of small, densely packed flowers arranged in tight, rounded heads at the apex of the stem. The narrow, strap-like petals and sepals radiate outward with a slightly recurved tip, and the lip is compact and well-defined.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; tolerates slightly more light than other Brassia species but avoid direct midday sun.
• Temperature: 60–80°F (15–27°C); an intermediate to warm grower that adapts well to a range of indoor conditions.
• Humidity: 60–80%; moderate to high humidity supports healthy pseudobulb development and consistent blooming.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a coarse bark-based mix or mounted on cork bark to accommodate its vigorous root system. Shipped bare root and well established.
