Lepanthes tentaculata

A remarkable miniature species native to Ecuador. It grows a single large orbicular leaf with a distinctly crenulate margin, and produces tiny successive flowers with elongated tentacle-like filaments extending from the petals and sepals, emerging directly from the leaf surface.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can damage the broad, delicate leaf.
• Temperature: 60–78°F (16–26°C); an Intermediate-Warm grower that tolerates warmer conditions than most Lepanthes.
• Humidity: 75–90%; maintain consistently high humidity — ideal for terrariums or warm, humid growing setups.
• Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness, as Lepanthes roots are sensitive to dehydration.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss. Its distinctive orbicular leaf and tentaculate flowers make it a standout terrarium subject. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
