Lepanthes scansor

A distinctive miniature species native to Ecuador. It grows a single large, glossy elliptic leaf and produces successive flowers on slender arching peduncles, each displaying open rounded lateral sepals, bilobed petals with bold contrasting markings, and a prominent purple labellum at the center.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 60–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can damage the broad, glossy leaf.
• Temperature: 50–65°F (10–18°C); a Cool grower that requires stable, cool conditions and consistent air movement.
• Humidity: 80–95%; maintain high humidity at all times for optimal growth and blooming.
• Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; never allow the fine roots to dry out completely between waterings.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss. Its large glossy leaf and characterful flowers make it a standout in any cool-growing collection. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
