Description

Description

A highly desirable select color form of this charming miniature species native to Ecuador, developing a compact and creeping sympodial growth habit with small, clustered pseudobulbs. The terminal inflorescences emerge from newly matured leaves to produce an elite, long-lasting display of star-shaped blossoms with an enhanced, intensely pure coloration that beautifully accents the clean, dwarf foliage.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the compact foliage.
  • Temperature: 65–85°F (18–29°C); an intermediate to warm grower that adapts well to stable indoor conditions.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; consistent humidity encourages vigorous growth and prolific flowering.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; never allow the roots to remain waterlogged.

Additional Notes

This miniature-sized plant produces beautifully proportioned flowers and thrives when mounted on cork slabs or potted in an exceptionally open, well-draining medium. It ships bare root and should be gently rehydrated at an intermediate temperature before being potted immediately upon arrival.
