A truly prodigious miniature orchid from Andean cloud forests, instantly recognizable by its remarkably asymmetric and sculptural blooms. The dorsal sepal rolls back dramatically while the lateral sepals open wide to reveal the interior, each tapering into long, slender tails — a dynamic, almost animated floral form in warm, richly toned hues.
Additional Notes
Best grown in fine bark or sphagnum moss in small net or plastic pots. Ideal for cool-growing or climate-controlled setups. Offered by Ecuagenera, Ecuador, as a well-established bare-root plant.
Adding this plant to the collection is almost a must! perfect roots and leaves so Ecuagenera did a good job, now it's my turn to see if I can make it flower. But with such a beautiful plant I can't fail!
Arrived in great condition, some leaf loss, but that is normal! Happy with this product!
This plant came with dried moss wrapped around it's roots. Because the plant was larger it maintained the integrity of the leaves and didn't suffer by loosing leaves. It is strong and healthy and I look forward to it flowering. I planted it right away in more moss and a terra cotta pot.
