Description

Description

A fragrant hybrid of C. Elegans (1879) × Rlc. Pamela Hetherington, an Ecuagenera original bearing large, classic labiata-type Cattleya flowers with a tall, erect dorsal sepal, broad lateral sepals, and an exceptionally wide, rounded trilobed lip with a vivid throat and a deeply frilled front lobe that dominates the floral composition. It grows as a vigorous plant with stout pseudobulbs and broad, leathery leaves well suited to pot culture.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 30–50% shade cloth; good light levels are essential for reliable blooming.
  • Temperature: 65–86°F (18–30°C); a Warm grower with a minimum tolerance around 60°F (16°C).
  • Humidity: 50–70%; tolerates moderate humidity with good air circulation.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to dry out between waterings; reduce watering slightly after new growth matures.

Additional Notes

Grow in a well-draining bark mix in a pot sized to the root system. Bright light and a slight temperature drop at night encourage blooming. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
