Oncidium
ออนซิเดียม หรือที่มักเรียกกันว่า "กล้วยไม้เต้นระบำ" เป็นสกุลไม้ดอกที่มีความสดใสและงดงามตระการตา ขึ้นชื่อเรื่องช่อดอกที่แตกกิ่งก้านสาขาอย่างหนาแน่น ประกอบด้วยดอกขนาดเล็กที่มีรายละเอียดซับซ้อน ดูคล้ายกับนักเต้นระบำในชุดกระโปรงบานที่กำลังพริ้วไหว กล้วยไม้ชนิดนี้มีถิ่นกำเนิดในพื้นที่ที่หลากหลายทั่วลาตินอเมริกา ตั้งแต่ป่าดิบชื้นเขตร้อนไปจนถึงป่าเมฆบนภูเขาสูง โดยทั่วไปจะให้ช่อดอกที่สูงและแตกแขนง เต็มไปด้วยดอกไม้ที่มีเฉดสีอันน่าทึ่ง ทั้งสีเหลือง สีทองแดง สีแดง สีชมพู และสีขาว ซึ่งมักจะมีจุดหรือลวดลายที่ตัดกันอย่างสวยงาม ส่วน กลีบปาก ที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์มักจะมีขนาดใหญ่และเป็นลอนคลื่น ช่วยเสริมให้ดูมีชีวิตชีวาและไม่หยุดนิ่ง นอกจากนี้ หลายชนิดและพันธุ์ผสมยังมีกลิ่นหอมที่น่ารื่นรมย์ ช่วยให้บรรยากาศอบอวลไปด้วยความหวานและบางครั้งก็มีกลิ่นไอของเครื่องเทศ
