Information

Description

Description

This charming miniature species features small, waxy flowers with deep red to burgundy petals and sepals that emerge from compact pseudobulbs, blooming prolifically throughout the year when provided with warm temperatures and consistent moisture.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 30-50% shade cloth; tolerates slightly lower light but blooms best with ample brightness.
  • Temperature: Warm grower. Daytime 75-85°F (24-29°C), nighttime 65-70°F (18-21°C). Thrives with consistent warmth year-round.
  • Humidity: 60-75% with good air circulation; use humidity trays or humidifiers in dry environments to support healthy growth.
  • Watering: Water when potting medium approaches dryness, typically every 4-6 days; maintain consistent moisture without waterlogging.

Additional Notes

Native to Central and South America at low to mid elevations. Grows well in fine to medium bark mix or mounted on cork with sphagnum moss.
