Information

Description

Description

A miniature epiphyte native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing slender, arching spikes with small, well-formed flowers. The dorsal sepal curves gently forward, the lateral sepals spread wide, and the broad, trilobed lip displays a prominent central callus with a finely textured surface.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the thin pseudobulbs.
  • Temperature: 59–75°F (15–24°C); a warm to intermediate grower that benefits from a slight nighttime temperature drop to encourage blooming.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; consistent moisture around the roots promotes healthy spike development and flower longevity.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; never leave roots sitting in standing water.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a small basket with a fine bark mix to accommodate its compact root system. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
