Information

Description

Description

A slender reed-stem epiphyte endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, bearing solitary or few-flowered racemes of graceful, star-shaped blooms on wiry, leafy stems. The flowers display long, acuminate, spreading sepals and petals alongside a three-lobed lip with narrow lateral lobes and a small, open white throat.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the slender stems and foliage.
  • Temperature: 54–75°F (12–24°C); an intermediate grower that benefits from moderate temperature fluctuations between day and night.
  • Humidity: 70–85%; good air movement around the roots and stems is essential to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or tree fern, or in a very open, well-draining bark mix. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to settle into their new growing environment.
