Miltoniopsis Guidos Dream

This is a hybrid orchid from a cross of Mps. vexillaria x Mps. Twin Peaks. This lineage results in a compact plant that produces elegant, large, flat, snow-white flowers.

• Light: Bright, indirect light. Provide low to medium light intensity, keeping it shaded completely from direct sunlight to prevent the thin leaves from burning.
• Temperature: Cool to intermediate. Day: 68-75°F (20-24°C). Night: 55-60°F (13-16°C). Maintaining a distinct cool night temperature is critical for triggering flower spikes and preventing heat stress.
• Humidity: High (70-80%). Must be paired with excellent air circulation at all times. Low humidity or inconsistent watering often causes the characteristic accordion-pleated deformity on new growths.
• Watering: The medium must be kept consistently moist and should never be allowed to fully dry out. Use water low in mineral salts, such as rainwater or reverse osmosis water, as the roots and leaves are highly sensitive to buildup from tap water.

Additional Notes

Produces large, showy, fragrant flowers, typically in clusters of two to ten blooms. The flowers are noted for their velvety texture and a sweet scent often likened to roses.
