A spectacular Stanhopea hybrid of Stan. Dachart × Stan. Lydia Bush, producing pendent racemes of large, waxy blooms with reflexed, heavily spotted sepals and spirally twisted petals. The inflated, globose hypochile in vivid orange-gold is the defining architectural feature — bold, sculptural, and intensely fragrant.
Additional Notes
Must be grown in an open basket or slatted container — the pendent flower spikes grow downward through the substrate and cannot bloom in a solid pot. Ships bare root and well-established, with a healthy root system ready to settle into its new home.
A large and healthy plant, it actually started a floral stem, but I broke it off by accident
I picked it up at a show in Italy, although it was bare rooted, after few weeks after repotting it was well established and thriving.
