Epidendrum quitensium

A reed-stem epiphyte endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing dense, rounded corymbs of numerous small flowers on upright, cane-like stems. The blooms display narrow, spreading sepals and petals alongside a prominently fringed, three-lobed lip, creating a lush, dome-shaped floral display.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun to prevent stress on the foliage.
• Temperature: 54–75°F (12–24°C); an intermediate grower that benefits from moderate temperature fluctuations between day and night.
• Humidity: 65–85%; good air circulation around the stems and roots helps prevent fungal issues.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to settle into their new growing environment.
