Anthurium
หน้าวัว เป็นหนึ่งในสกุลที่มีเอกลักษณ์และมีความหลากหลายมากที่สุดในวงศ์ ซึ่งเป็นที่ชื่นชอบจากใบรูปหัวใจที่โดดเด่นและโครงสร้างดอกที่มีสีสันสดใสและคงทน พืชล้มลุกหลายปีเหล่านี้มีถิ่นกำเนิดในเขตร้อนของทวีปอเมริกา โดยได้รับความนิยมเป็นพิเศษจาก "จานรองดอก" (spathes) ที่มีความเงางามเหมือนเคลือบขี้ผึ้ง ซึ่งมักถูกเข้าใจผิดว่าเป็นดอกไม้ โดยมีเฉดสีที่เจิดจ้าทั้งสีแดง สีชมพู สีขาว สีม่วง และสีเขียว ซึ่งตัดกับ "ปลี" (spadices) ที่มีลักษณะเรียวยาวคล้ายหางได้อย่างสวยงาม นอกจากดอกที่ฉูดฉาดแล้ว หน้าวัวหลายสายพันธุ์ยังมีใบที่น่าทึ่ง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นผิวสัมผัสคล้ายกำมะหยี่หรือลวดลายเส้นใบที่ละเอียดซับซ้อน ซึ่งช่วยเพิ่มความอุดมสมบูรณ์และความงามในเชิงสถาปัตยกรรมให้กับทุกพื้นที่
