Trichopilia Apache

A hybrid of Trpla. sanguinolenta × Trpla. suavis, two epiphytic species from the cloud forests of Central America. It displays large, showy flowers with undulate sepals and petals and a broad, trumpet-shaped lip with a delicate fragrance.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun exposure, which can cause leaf burn.
• Temperature: 60–82°F (15–28°C); an intermediate to warm grower that appreciates stable temperatures and good air circulation.
• Humidity: 65–80%; consistent humidity promotes healthy pseudobulb development and abundant flowering.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the substrate to approach dryness between waterings; never let roots sit in standing water.

Additional Notes

This hybrid thrives mounted or in a basket with excellent air circulation, or potted in a coarse, well-draining bark mix. Plants are shipped bare root and well established; pot promptly upon arrival and water thoroughly to rehydrate the roots.
