Описание

A large, well-established mat of this creeping epiphyte from the cloud forests of Ecuador, with an active rhizome producing dense clusters of succulent, oblong leaves. The erect inflorescences bear showy, triangular flowers with finely papillose, ciliate sepal margins and a prominent, contrasting globose column — remarkably ornamental for the genus.

  • Light: Moderate indirect light with 55–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the succulent foliage.
  • Temperature: 50–65°F (10–18°C); a cool grower that thrives with consistent cool temperatures and good airflow.
  • Humidity: 70–85%; high humidity supports vigorous rhizomatous growth and prolific blooming.
  • Watering: Keep evenly moist at all times; the succulent leaves store some moisture but the fine roots do not tolerate prolonged drying.

Additional Notes

Blooms repeatedly throughout the year with multiple erect inflorescences. Best grown in a shallow basket or small pot with fine bark or sphagnum moss, or mounted on cork bark. An outstanding specimen for the cool-growing miniature collector. Ships bare-root in excellent condition.
