Oncidium pichinchense

A miniature epiphyte native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing slender, upright spikes with numerous tiny flowers spaced along the rachis. The narrow, reflexed sepals and petals curve gracefully backward, while the diminutive lip features a rounded frontal lobe and a contrasting orange anther cap that draws the eye to the center of each flower.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the delicate miniature growth.
• Temperature: 57–75°F (14–24°C); an intermediate grower that appreciates stable temperatures with a slight nighttime drop.
• Humidity: 65–80%; high ambient moisture supports the fine root system and encourages consistent flowering.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; never allow roots to sit in standing water.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a very fine bark mix to suit its compact root system. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
